You Can't Be Bored

"If you’re alive, you can’t be bored in San Francisco.  If you’re not alive, San Francisco will bring you to life."
-William Saroyan

We went to San Francisco without any plans.  Our hotel was booked about a week in advance, neither Sidney or me had ever been to San Francisco, and we just didn't know what we could do there.

We got to the hotel quite early, so our room wasn't ready yet.  The concierge suggested we go to Kitchen Story, a restaurant only about a 10 minute cable car ride away, and get Millionaire's Bacon.  Now, this was the first we'd ever heard of this Millionaire's Bacon, and since we both love bacon, Sidney and I decided to give it a try.

It.  Was.  Amazing.

Millionaire's bacon is marinated in maple syrup.  YUM.  It was heavenly.

The hotel we stayed in had complimentary bikes which we could use for exploring the city, so the next day we took those out and biked around.

We discovered America's Cup Park.  The Louis Vuitton Cup is a sailing regatta that takes place leading up to America's Cup, and it just so happened to be taking place in San Francisco during the time that we were there!  We locked up our bikes and walked around the park for a bit.

We just had to.
I happened to be wearing a sailboat dress, which ended up being perfect for our discovery.

Next, we rode our bikes all the way up to the Golden Gate Bridge, and of course, obligatory pictures were taken.

The hotel had the cutest red bikes.
On our way back, we stopped at Fog Harbor Fish House and had the most wonderful lunch.

The crème brûlée was the best I'd ever had.
By the time we started to make our way back to the hotel, we were pretty tired, but wanted to stop at America's Cup Park again.

We were unimpressed
about all of the wine that
we could not drink there.
