Women Do The Driving

"For most of my life I let women do the driving and was happy to let them."
-Christopher Hitchens

Lake Zürich at 6AM
The next day, we woke up to a beautiful view in Zurich.  After drinking coffee and eating scrambled eggs, the four of us stumbled into the car and we were on our way to Tuscany.

Tunnels on tunnels on tunnels
Everyone took turns driving, and the Alps were a bit tricky.  The coolest part were the tunnels, which went right through all the mountains.  The curvaceous roads presented a bit of a challenge, but we got through them and survived (obviously).

Fog rising from the mountains
We stopped in Milan for lunch, but I think we were in the wrong part.  At this point, it was noon on a Sunday afternoon, and the streets were desolate.  But!  We saw this cool church, bought some postcards, ate lunch, then got back in the car.

Where are all the people?
Driving through Italy is amazing.  The mountains spanning in the distance were quite a sight to see.  The sun was just setting as we pulled up to the house in Tuscany.

The grass is always greener on the
Italy side
Oh.  My.  Goodness.  The house was beautiful, but the view was breathtaking.

We decided to go to dinner and have some genuine Italian pizza.  The pizza was so good and so cheap that we got a pizza each.

Gotta love eggplant!
Then we got dessert.  Traveling is apparently very draining, and we finally satisfied our hunger by the end of the night.
